Primary Election

4-year term – 3 Vacancies
Filing Fee: Pay $25.00 to the City Treasurer.
File with Election Commissioner. Items needed when filing - receipt of payment of filing fee; petitions with 150 qualified voters; and C-1 form. (This form can be obtained from the Election Commissioner or the Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission.)
File a Statement of Financial Interests (Form C-1) covering the 2024 Calendar Year with Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission between January 1, 2025 and no later than March 7, 2025. If a candidate files prior to December 31, 2024, the candidate must file or have on file a Statement of Financial Interests (Form C-1) covering the 2023 Calendar Year with the Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission and then file a Statement of Financial Interests (Form C-1) covering the 2024 Calendar Year between January 1, 2025 and no later than March 7, 2025. Failure to file these Statements of Financial Interests by March 7th may result in the removal of the candidate ’s name from the ballot.
Qualifications: Must be resident of City at least 6 months prior to Primary Election. Qualified elector and citizen of the U.S. Minimum age 18.
Filing Deadline: March 7, 2025 by 5:00 pm
4-year term - Districts 1, 3, 5 & 7
No Filing Fee.
File with Election Commissioner.
Qualifications: Minimum age 18. Registered voter. Reside in district. Cannot be employed as a teacher by the School District on which board he/she serves.
Incumbent Filing Deadline: February 17 by 5:00 pm
Non-Incumbent Filing Deadline: March 3 by 5:00 pm
6-year term – 1 Vacancy
Filing Fee: Pay $25.00 to the City Treasurer.
File with Election Commissioner. Items needed when filing - receipt of payment of filing fee and petitions with 150 qualified voters.
